PATTY'S MOVIE PICKS FOR SUMMER 2008: PART IIHere it is! Round two, since I don't wanna clutter my main page too much!
OUT ON DVDFRACTURERelease Date: Apr. 20, 2007
Director: Gregory Hoblit
Starring: Ryan Gosling, Anthony Hopkins
MPAA Rating: R
Run Time: 113 min.
One-Sentence Synopsis: A young, talented prosecuting attorney takes on one hell of a case and finds himself entangled in a dangerous and ethically-challenging struggle for supremacy.
My Review: I'm not typically a fan of legal dramas (I can't stand to watch them on TV, and if you suggest I pick one up from the local video store, I'd probably hit you in the face with something heavy because you're more than likely a total stranger), but I decided to give
Fracture a shot because: A) I'd heard very good things about it, and B) It's got Ryan Gosling AND Anthony Hopkins. I don't think you can put two actors with that much talent in a movie and have it turn out horribly. Though I didn't piece everything together the very first time I watched the movie (probably because I only chanced glances at it every few minutes while I was working on other things), by the end of the second time through, the entire film made perfect sense and every little detail came crashing back together. A truly great movie that keeps you guessing until the very end. Worth a watch!
THE PIANISTRelease Date: Jan. 3, 2003
Director: Roman Polanski
Starring: Adrien Brody, Thomas Kretschmann
MPAA Rating: R
Run Time: 150 min.
One-Sentence Synopsis: A Polish Jewish pianist struggles to survive in the ghetto of Warsaw during the early 1940s.
My Review: Wow. All I can say is... wow. I'm still surprised by the fact that I didn't cry during this film (the only conceivable reason I didn't being that dialog is usually the one thing that sets my tear ducts running) I've never seen
Schindler's List or any other major Holocaust-based films, but that may have made this movie all the more powerful for me. The gritty reality of the film grabs you by the throat and never lets go, censoring nothing and exposing the viewer to every pain and hardship Wladyslaw Szpilman endured. There's a reason it's won so many Oscars.
More to come!

Devious Comments
Ethan and his sisters are ten years old. Ethan has a soft, earthy brown hair color and bright green eyes.
His hair is about half your hair length in the back(according to your avatar picture) and a little shorter in the front. He has light skin and rarely if ever gets sunburned. He has a very natural, almost floral appearance and isn't as masculine as most boys his age. He usually wears colorful, loose fitting shirts and slightly tight pants with a greenish wash (probably to hide the grass stains) which makes him look even more like a flower.
We'll start with that and see how it goes. You can be creative with the attributes but please don't go to the extremes. There's no rush to get it done so take your time and have some fun! Once again thanks for the help!

I see no point in life so why am I alive... I could help others who have a purpose or I could destroy everyone
I choose to help so where should I begin
do you have a purpose?
The main setting is a private school for kids of all ages who have unnatural abilities ranging anywhere from perfect memory or seeing sounds to an instinct for invention or controlling one of the elements (like in Avatar) suggestions for abilities are also welcome but not necessary.
It is set slightly in the future but no actual date is mentioned. Most events are in North America and both the school and the place where the story starts are owned by the government and kept a secret from the public.
I can't remember if I've thanked you yet for helping so thank you very much.

"I like summer a lot - I am writing, drawing, and watching movies often."
I'll try to restrict myself to some stuff from the first month then

I took Spanish in first grade but dealing with two languages that were relatively new was more of a challenge than I had wanted.
You said something about practicing Spanish on deviantArt in your question but Me no comprendo "Podemos" & "aqui"
Then you say something you like a lot and after the - mark, you completely lost me.
